Microsuction

Microsuction is a method of removing ear wax using a gentle suction device, while the clinician is able to view the ear canal and drum with a microscope.

Unlike traditional ear syringing where wax is flushed out of the ear with water, micro suction allows removal of the wax whilst being directly visualised, therefore allowing safe, gentle and effective removal.

Microsuction does not require lengthy use of softening, although I do advise patients to use either olive oil drops or sodium bicarbonate drops for 2 days prior to their appointment.

The cost of the procedure is £55 for both ears and £35 for one ear. If microsuction is not required a £30 consultation fee will be payable.
